{"id":205507,"date":"2016-07-25T06:00:06","date_gmt":"2016-07-24T20:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/julie-and-peter-stay-home-for-gorgeous-vintage-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T10:48:44","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T23:48:44","slug":"julie-and-peter-stay-home-for-gorgeous-vintage-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/julie-and-peter-stay-home-for-gorgeous-vintage-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Julie and Peter stay home for gorgeous vintage wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">When it came to growing closer, there was just one obstacle in the way for Julie McNairn and Peter Littlefair &#8211; Julie&#8217;s brother Ross, who also happened to be Peter&#8217;s close friend.<\/p>\n<p>Julie, 28, jokes that her brother &#8220;set down some ground rules&#8221; before the relationship blossomed.<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks after their first kiss the Edinburgh pair left to travel south-east Asia together and haven&#8217;t looked back since.\u00a0&#8220;My\u00a0brother took a short while to get over this, but nearly \u00a0seven years later delivered the most amazing and heartfelt\u00a0speech during our wedding ceremony,&#8221; Julie says.<\/p>\n<p>Pete, 27, popped the question one night when Julie got home from work, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/planning-tools\/\">planning<\/a> then quickly began for the couple&#8217;s vintage wedding.<\/p>\n<p>When it came to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingVenues\/\">picking the venue<\/a> for their 1920s-themed celebrations, the choice was easy.\u00a0&#8220;We live on the Carberry Estate so choosing\u00a0Carberry was an easy decision,&#8221; Julie says.\u00a0&#8220;They\u00a0allowed us to have our Labrador at the\u00a0ceremony and the whole day had the\u00a0comforts of our life and home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The couple wed on April 16, 2016 in front of 120 guests. Labrador Lexie was a special guest, wearing a Go-Pro on her back to catch all the special moments (and some accidental under-kilt shots!)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The whole day was relaxed and
