Street art and colour was the theme for Faye and her graphic designer husband Rob’s wedding.
They married on July 14, 2018 with 120 guests at Paintworks in Bristol. “It’s a characterful warehouse style venue in Bristol’s creative quarter – a blank canvas with high ceilings and spacious courtyard,” explains Faye, 44.
Their bold palette of blue, yellow, red, green and black was reflected everywhere, from the dress code to the flowers to the wedding favours. Rob, also 44, created a street-art inspired ceremony backdrop and the wedding stationary. “We also asked 10 guests to create colourful artworks which were hung around the venue, with a prize for the most popular piece,” says the bride.
“As we wanted a relaxed vibe, we avoided the traditional wedding breakfast, opting instead for Italian family-style dining,” says Faye. “We opted for four rows of trestle tables with floral arrangements using a single colour from our palette for each table, one red, yellow, blue and black which was really effective.”

“An elaborate wedding cake wasn’t a priority, instead we chose beautiful cupcakes and a huge cheese ‘cake’,” explains the bride.
Guests were asked to vote on their favourite artwork created by 10 loved ones. The winner received chocolate and champagne!
The couple made use of the surrounding streets for some edgy photos.
“A highlight was UK beatbox trio Bloxed Beats who performed two live sets, starting with a flash-mob performance during the reception,” recalls Faye.
