Rose Quigley-Lewis and Jack Massey had two must-haves for their shabby-chic wedding.
“Being a Christian I really wanted our ceremony to be held in a church,” Rose, 29, explains. “And Jack is a keen golfer and decided from the outset that our wedding had to be golf-related in some way.”
In the end both Rose and Jack, 39, got their wish, with the Romford, Essex pair marrying at St Edward the Confessor Church in their hometown and their reception at Marylands Golf Club.
The wedding, on August 10, 2015, was celebrated with 150 guests and was held two years later than expected due to the birth of their daughter in February 2014.
The two teachers, who met when they began work at the same school in 2009, put plenty of effort into planning their special day.
“Jack was happy to let me take control of the planning and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it,” Rose says.
“I think all the effort paid off and it was truly a day to remember. Everyone enjoyed themselves, ate and drank lots and boogied away on the dancefloor – we couldn’t have wanted more.”

Rose picked her wedding dress, which featured gorgeous lace detail, from Matchmaker Bride.
“The church we chose was perfect,” Rose says. “A stunning interior and welcoming priest.”
The flowegirls were cute as buttons in dresses from Next.
Jack proposed in 2012 while the couple was on a relaxing weekend away in London.
“I loved the dark beams, intimate space and the charm of the place and Jack loved that it looked over the golf course,” Rose says of their reception venue.
