After meeting through mutual friends, Sarah Erswell and Paul Hamer wasted no time in getting to know each other.
“Things moved quickly for us, within six months we were living together, 18 months we had our daughter and at three years we got engaged while in Barbados at a family friends’ wedding,” Sarah, 36, says.
However, there was something else the couple wanted to do before they headed down the aisle at their vintage wedding.
“We knew we wanted two children and we wanted both of them to be at our wedding so we decided to have another child before we tied the knot,” Sarah explains.
Their family was complete in 2014 with the arrival of their son, and so the wedding planning could begin.
The Ruislip, Middlesex pair chose Kings Chapel, located in Old Amersham for their vintage-inspired ceremony on March 27, 2015 in front of 60 guests.
Sarah made a grand entrance with her children, sisters, niece and nephews by her side. .
Following on from the ceremony the bride and groom, 31 with their guests celebrated into the night, before heading back to the local, The Kings Arms Hotel, for their overnight stay.
Sarah describes the day as amazing.
“On that day we completed our family, witnessed by a small group of people who are all very important to us. It was very emotional and extremely relaxed,” she says.
“Everyone had an amazing day and we wish we could do it all again.”
