Michelle Savory always knew what she wanted her wedding to look like, so after partner Clark Lee proposed on a romantic trip to Dubai she got to work turning her dreams into reality.
“We loved planning everything together,” Michelle, 30, says of her modern traditional wedding. “There weren’t many arguments.”
She and Clark, 29, were lucky to have help from Michelle’s aunt and uncle, who put their skills as designers to work on the wedding favours, table plans and decorating the venue.
The pair, from St Albans, Hertfordshire, married in their hometown cathedral on July 18, 2014 in front of 120 friends and family.
“After the ceremony we all headed to our reception at The Grove Hotel,” Michelle explains. “It’s a beautiful venue set in acres of land and golf course. It was just stunning!”
And the bride’s 10 months of planning paid off. “The room was decorated exactly how we wanted it to be. The food was great, flowers were perfect and we were finally able to relax and enjoy spending time with our guests,” Michelle says.
“We couldn’t have been happier!”

Michelle wore a classic strapless ivory gown from Benjamin Roberts. Her bridesmaids wore ivory evening gowns with a contrasting navy waist sash.
Clark and his groomsmen suited up in smart navy tails from Anthony Formalwear.
The pair honeymooned along USA’s Route 66. “The best experience of our lives,” smiles Michelle.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lee!
