Though Natalie Leach and James O’Regan first met as three year-olds at playschool, love blossomed between the two much later in life.
Natalie and Jim, both 31, wanted to create a unique and personal wedding that truly represented them as a couple.
The pair’s legal ceremony at Weston-super-Mare Registry Office lasted all of 10 minutes and was witnessed by only their mothers.
However, on August 26, 2016 at an official celebrant-led ceremony, Natalie and Jim exchanged vows before 140 guests at their vintage festival wedding. Dubbing their wedding ‘WedFest’, the pair said ‘I do’ in the village where they first met – East Huntspill, Somerset.
Their vintage farm wedding was split into two – 60 guests for the day, and a further 80 for the evening. This allowed for a Harvest Home-style lunch for daytime guests, and a more hearty Hog roast for the evening guests.
“We wanted a day as unique as we are as a couple, surrounded by our most favourite people in the world,” explains Natalie. “It truly was a day prepared with love and filled with happiness.”
Natalie advises couples embarking on the same journey to “make it about you – it’s impossible to please everyone!”

Natalie wore a 1950’s style, oyster and ivory tea-length gown by Justin Alexander.
In keeping with their WedFest theme, Natalie and Jim ordered their ticket-style invitations from an actual ticketing website.
Their marriage was officiated by Humanist Celebrant Alison Orchard.
The WedFest was held on Jim’s aunt and uncle’s farm. With a bit of DIY, the location became Natalie and Jim’s dream venue.
James looked every bit the handsome groom in his brown three-piece tweed suit, and shoes by Next Retail. His cufflinks even had their pet dog’s paw prints engraved onto them!
In honour of passed grandparents, their initials were included on the cake. “Our families really appreciated the sentiment,” says Natalie.
“We have come away with beautiful memories of the start of what is sure to be an amazing marital journey.”
