Aussie-born Megan, 32, married Leeds beau Mark, 30, “halfway” between their hometowns – in Tuscany.
Their destination wedding on September 15, 2018 was a compromise – not really being halfway, but instead the perfect location, explains the bride. “I always dreamed of a vineyard wedding, so Italy seemed like the natural choice,” smiles Megan. “We were able to find the perfect location in the Tuscany countryside, near the picturesque hillside town of Poppi.”
The venue accommodated 65 of the couple’s loved ones, and they hired it for the whole weekend. “We were able to host a pizza and prosecco party, an alfresco wedding reception and a recovery pool party” recalls the bride. “The highlight of it all was being able to spend so much quality time with the people we love. Friendships were formed that’ll last a lifetime and none of us will forget that truly magical weekend.”

“I asked the bridesmaids to select their own dresses so they would feel fantastic on the day too,” explains Megan.
“We created a personalised arrival booklet for every guest with a welcome message, map, amenities, schedule for the wedding day and shuttle bus times,” says the bride.
“They were both super welcoming and made me feel a part of the wedding, which in turn allowed me to shoot more authentically during their wedding,” photographer Stephen Walker says. “Mark and Megan during the portrait session were really relaxed and although they may not tell you, their super cool in front of a camera.”
“The photos capture the moment so well, they bring back the emotions and feelings from the day,” says Megan.
“It genuinely didn’t need anything. The natural beauty of the space was enough,” Megan says of the reception decor.
