Love at first sight: Brittaney and Daniel’s classic church wedding

Neither Brittaney nor Daniel believed in love at first sight until their first date. “I went home that night and told my mum I was going to marry this man, there was no doubt about it.”

The pair wasted no time falling in love, with Daniel, 27, popping the question just six months later.

Instead of a traditional proposal, Daniel hid Brittaney’s engagement ring in the gift box she had used for his Valentine’s Day present. “Daniel called me into his bedroom and asked me why I’d given him a girl’s ring. After twenty minutes, when I finally stopped crying, he asked ‘So is that a yes?’ I’ve never been happier,” says Brittaney, 26.

The pair’s wedding planning priorities lay with making the day all about themselves.

“We didn’t want to lose ourselves trying to please everyone else. We wanted a traditional yet modern style wedding with a bit of personality but nothing too over the top. Of course, we didn’t skimp on having the cars we wanted or my dream dress though!”

On June 10, 2017 with 200 guests in attendance, Brittaney and Daniel wed at their classic church wedding at Bicentennial Park in Sydney, Australia.

Brittaney and Daniel advise other future newlyweds to have fun on their special day. “Remember, this day is about you and your fiance – all that matters is that you get to marry each other.”
