Lottie & Tom create a whole new world at their Disney wedding

Let us introduce to you a real life Disney princess: Charlotte Denny.

Affectionately known as Lottie, the 28-year-old married her Prince Charming Thomas Worrall, also 28, with a Disney wedding. The September 17, 2014 event at Surrey was its own cartoon-like world, with touches including bridesmaids dressed as Minnie Mouse and speeches with Disney puns.

“We like to be different and I think that showed in our big day,” explains Lottie. “We used our mutual love of Disney for inspiration.” The groom really got in the spirit too. “For Tom’s speech he decided to change the words to “Part of your World” [from The Little Mermaid] and “Beauty and the Beast” to make them about us.”

Guests were given Mickey and Minnie cake pops as wedding favours and of course there was a lemon, chocolate and vanilla sponge cake also themed as Minnie and Mickey. Guests already knew what they were in for with invitations designed with Pixar movies in mind and the stationery flowed through to the day as well. “Instead of a seating plan we had a very simple treasure hunt – which made use of Disney character illustrations, hand drawn by myself,” smiles Lottie.

The couple honeymooned in the US.

Lottie styled her own hair and did her own make-up.

“Having a photographer was a last minute decision for us and thankfully we changed our minds,” says Lottie.

“All of our friends came away saying they had had the most fun they have ever had at a wedding and it would certainly be one they would remember forever,” smiles Lottie.
