Kimberley Hewitt and Adam Pawson say their classic romantic wedding was well worth the wait.
The Newark, Nottinghamshire couple celebrated their big day on their 15th anniversary. “It was totally worth the 15-year wait,” Kimberley, 32, says.
She and Adam, 33, wanted their wedding to be intimate and include their children, Connor and Daisy.
They found their dream location at Norwood Park Country House in Southwell.
“We wanted or wedding to be beautiful and pretty, so when we viewed Norwood Park it ticked all the boxes it was beautiful and grand but felt so intimate and relaxed at the same time,” Kimberley says.
The couple wed on May 21, 2017, in front of 48 friends and family and the celebrations continued into the evening with 90 guests.
Kimberley put her craft skills to work for the reception decor, basing the theme around blush pink and gold.
“Norwood is a very beautiful place so it was really just adding our little personal touches, I love crafts so knew there were lots of things that I wanted to do myself,” she says.
The couple says their day was full of emotion.
“Our wedding was the most beautiful and enchanting day in our dream location, with an
overwhelming feeling of happiness shared with family and friends,” the bride says.

Kimberley chose an elegant embellished wedding dress and had a few alterations made, including the addition of spaghetti straps, to make it perfect.
The couple made sure Connor and Daisy were a part of the day. “So we gave them both a very important roles, flowergirl and page boy/ring bearer, Connor even did two beautiful readings during the ceremony,” Kimberley says.
The groom’s favourite colour was blue so it was only fitting he got married in a blue suit. Adam matched the look with tan shoes. He got both from Next Retail.
Kimberley tells other brides not to sweat the small stuff. “We have discovered that there is usually some kind of hiccup before the wedding, but at the end of the day it will go ahead and it will be just perfect and that hiccup is so minor when it comes to your perfect day,” she says.
