It was the little details that added up to create the perfect classic wedding for Kim and Steven.
The Nottinghamshire couple, who met through work 10 years ago, carefully planned their autumn celebrations.
“Every aspect of our wedding was thought about in great detail to make it the most perfect day for us and for our guests,” Kim, 29, says.
The first priority for Kim and Steven, 35, was the venue. “We wanted something more contemporary but still with its own style,” the bride explains.
They found Pendrell Hall in Staffordshire for their November 4, 2017, celebration.
Their next priority was the menu, and the avid foodies put a different spin on a lollie buffet with a savoury snack table with cheese, breads and meats. “The kind of treat we enjoy on a Saturday night,” Kim says.
A live band set the scene for the evening celebrations, and the couple’s 67 guests joining in a rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
“We found a way to include our two pet rabbits into the wedding too, by dressing them up as a mini bride and groom for our save the date cards and also asking the cake maker to include two small rabbit silhouettes on the back of our cake – a subtle touch but meant a lot to us!” Kim says.
It was these subtle touches that the couple says made the day such a success.
“We wanted to create a perfect day for our guests – and based on feedback I think we definitely achieved that,” Kim says.
“All the hard work paid off as our guests had a great time and the day was so meaningful and personal to us.”

Kim opted to do her own make-up, but had her hair put in a classic up-do by the team at The Style Lounge.
“We met 10 years ago at Starbucks, when I covered a shift at Steve’s store. The Starbucks Christmas party was the week after and we found ourselves swapping numbers over tequila shots,” Kim says.
Steve wore a classic three-piece suit from Debenhams.
The couple’s wedding cake was an elegant two-tier design with intricate detail, including a nod to the couple’s rabbits.
