Leanne and Charlie opted for a “relaxed, cool and different” wedding day at Babington House in Somerset.
The pair wed at their relaxed manor wedding on November 15, 2018 — exactly one year after Charlie proposed. “We chose Babington House because we wanted something relaxed but the food and drink was important to us,” explains Leanne. “It was the only place we looked at and fell in love.”
Leanne’s gown from Halfpenny London was exactly what she had been searching for. “I decided to go for Halfpenny, so cool, understated and different,” she recalls. “My bridesmaid knew the designer and managed to squeeze me an appointment in and the rest is history. I sometimes try the dress on even now because it takes me back to that day and feeling a million dollars.”
The couple made sure to include plenty of special touches for their guests to remember that evening, including a midnight delivery of burgers. “We had the burger van, a friend mix our first dance, a cheese room, espresso martinis, our friend and sister marry us … so many little surprises!” says the bride.

The bride wore a unique and beautiful, long-sleeved gown from Halfpenny London.
Leanne and Charlie knew each other four years before getting together.
Leanne kept accessories for herself and her bridesmaids to a minimum, but requested they wear whatever made them feel comfortable. “I really wanted each bridemaid’s personality to shine through on the day.”
“Charlie proposed in the evening of our first day in our first apartment
together in Kings Cross,” recalls Leanne.
“Hold hands. It’s common to get split up trying to talk to as many
people as possible, but remember your guests are here to see you
both,” says the bride with advice for those looking to marry.
