Kavita and David married at their rustic two-day wedding on August 24 and 26, 2018.
“It was really important to my family and me to have a religious Sikh ceremony,” explains bride Kavita. “So part one was a Sikh ceremony at the Brent Sikh Centre with all the traditions — lots of colours and a lot of tears at my goodbye ceremony.” Part two was a bigger event with 180 people at Northbrook Park just outside of London. “We both fell in love with the venue (and the peacocks) when we went to see it and knew it was perfect for what we wanted — a beautiful backdrop with a lot of character.”
The couple opted for an elegant, but rustic theme. “We spent six weeks travelling around South America for our honeymoon and so one of our favourite parts of the decor was the seating plan,” recalls the bride. “We found a vintage suitcase for our seating plan and named each table after a place we were going to be visiting on our travels.”
Kavita and David say their wedding day “captured our personalities and brought together our separate visions” for a beautiful event.

The main at event at Northbrook Park was attended by 180 guests.
“I’ve always wanted a cake on a swing for my wedding so that was a special feature,” says Kavita.
Hidden under the bride’s stunning gown was a pair of Jimmy Choos.
It was important to the bride’s family she also celebrate with a traditional ceremony.
“Be patient with each other during wedding planning! It’s a stressful time!” smiles Kavita with advice for other brides.
