Have you ever considered getting married at night?
Kate, 32, and Sam, 31, wanted to get married in a way that was a little different, and by night with lots of candles set the romantic scene they were hoping for. “We wanted a romantic and vintage wedding at a historic settling and most importantly intimate, just close family and best friends,” explains Kate. “I noticed an article online the most incredible wedding venues in the UK, it mentioned you could get married at the historic Roman Baths in Bath, UK at night.”
Their ceremony on October 6, 2018 took place at sunset with torches burning, where guests enjoyed canapes and champagne. “Then guests just moved upstairs for dinner surrounded by candles and candelabras and peach roses on every place setting and place cards in calligraphy with wax seals on,” recalls the bride. “Dinner was served on the terrace room overlooking the baths and then dancing and drinks in the reception hall.”
Kate’s favourite moment of the evening was her dad walking her down the aisle to a harpist playing classical Kissing You from the Romeo and Juliet film.

The bride wore golden heels from Jimmy Choo.
“I wanted muted pink and dusky colours for the flowers, to give that antique look,” says Kate.
“The Roman Baths was like an enchanted palace for the evening and my dress was my dream dress,” says the bride.
“For the overall feel of the wedding I wanted ballerina pink and antique gold tones and a classic vintage look,” smiles Kate.
