Following five years together and the birth of their first daughter, Daniel decided it was time to pop the question to Karn.
Daniel, now 28, planned a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal on the beautiful coastal part of their hometown, Newquay. However, infant daughter Willow had other plans.
“As we all know, babies don’t like to follow any plans and she wanted a feed,” says Karn, 26. “Later, when we were on our bed with little one, Daniel plucked up the courage and asked me. I said yes, of course. I’d already chosen the date and booked the venue!”
She explains, “Right on our doorstep is a little privately-owned cove named Lusty Glaze Beach where we often come for cocktails and sundowner sessions. It’s beautiful, intimate and such a breathtaking place,” she says. “Luckily, living in Cornwall, we have the most amazing beaches.”
Karn and Daniel exchanged vows with 50 loved ones as witness on a sunny November 2, 2017.
“Our top priority was that we wanted it to be chilled, relaxing and an enjoyable day which we felt describes us as a couple. We had a Cornish band perform for us, and had a run around on the beach with sparklers in the evening.”

The pair decorated tables with shells from local beaches – a nod to their beach/boho theme.
Karn and Daniel chose a pre-ceremony ‘reveal’ with their photographer Carolyn Oakley.
Karn advises future newlyweds to “make sure you’re doing it for yourself, rather than focusing on pleasing the guests.”
“I knew I’d book Images Cornwall to capture our big day as we always walked past their shop window and saw all the lovely photos of other weddings at Lusty they had captured and we always said that’s what we want our day to be like,” describes Karn.
Fittingly, Karn chose a trumpet style gown from Coastal Bridal and the bridal party wore navy blue!
“We had our closest friends and family at this truly magical location which created the most amazing day for us. Daniel and I wouldn’t have done anything different.”
