Scott proposing to girlfriend Emma at Disney in Florida later became the inspiration for the couple’s wedding on July 17, 2017.
The pair, aged 26 and 25 respectively, married at Lochside House Hotel in Easy Ayrshire, Scotland, on July 17, 2017. “My wedding was planned to every last detail with the help of my mum – we used to have ‘wedding Wednesdays’ to organise the big day,” says bride Emma. “I wanted our wedding to have unique details and opted for a subtle Disney theme throughout since this was where we got engaged and where we would honeymoon.”
Those details included bookmarks for place names boasting Disney movie quotes related to that person. Children were gifted Disney bags with goodies inside to keep them busy during speeches. The bride even designed the cake herself with birds from Cinderella, and Mickey Mouse faces. “Our sweet table in the evening had all the sweets named appropriately with gummy fish as ‘can you find Nemo’ and tablets as ‘a spoonful of sugar’ from Mary Poppins,” smiles the bride.

The groom’s squad were dapper in traditional highland wear by Macgregor and MacDuff.
The couple wed on a beautiful Scottish summers day, perfect for the delicate bridesmaids gowns.
“The two of us are not emotional people, but as I came down the aisle with my dad, Scott and I both cried a few tears,” explains Emma.
Emma and Scott sought the expertise of a florist to create bouquets that perfectly complimented romantic fairy tale style of their day.
The Disney theme was incorporated into the personalised place names and the elegant wedding cake.
