Gabrielle and Liam proved the strength of their communication skills when they were tasked with planning their wedding while living apart.
“Liam [28] had moved to Leeds to start his PHD whilst I was teaching in Oxfordshire,” explains Gabrielle, 26. “I got started with tasks such as designing the invites and the order of service, and Liam made calls and sent emails to suppliers as he was available in the day.”
They married at their English summer wedding on August 5, 2017 with 90 guests. A ceremony at The Church of St peter and St Paul in Hanborough, was followed by a reception at Kirtlington Park in Oxfordshire. “We knew we would be moving to Spain after the wedding and wanted to incorporate this into the wedding,” says the bride. “We chose some Spanish influence in the food, chose Spanish red wine and wrote in Spanish on our wedding favours.”
The couple opted for soft colour tones, matching the time of year and creating a classic feel to the day. “We are also both mad about dogs, so we obviously had to have Basil, the family dog at the church, and we also had a dalmatian themed wedding cake.,” smiles Gabrielle.

“The bridesmaids wore beautiful full-length soft blue chiffon dresses with a slight variant for my pregnant sister,” says Gabrielle.
“Don’t worry about spilling tomato ketchup down your dress, just eat one of those sausage sandwiches,” is this bride’s advice for a good time!
The groom and his handsome crew were dressed by Marks and Spencer.
The couple’s guests were treated to homemade elderflower cordial as favours.
