Eve and John had three priorities when it came to their elegant romantic wedding: it had to be personal and intimate, be captured by an amazing photographer, and be held in a setting by the sea.
Polpier in Cornwall, UK proved to be the perfect venue, allowing the Cornish couple to celebrate with an entire seaside weekend with loved ones.
“Our families and friends are very spread out, so we wanted to spend as much time with them as possible and for them to share the time with each other.
“Our dream to get married outside was made a reality. The sun rose over the harbour at 6am and my best friend woke me up with a coffee to start the day. It was perfect – we felt like we were abroad,” says Eve, 27.
On May 19, 2018, 34 family and friends joined Eve and John, 30, to witness them exchange their vows at Polpier and Penpol, conducted by the Cornwall Registry office. Guests were then treated to Paella, fudge, Cornish pastries and a magical seaside celebration before the married pair retreated to their private suite overlooking the ocean.
Eve advises future newlyweds planning their wedding to take it all in and take time as a couple on the day. “In the madness, enjoy being with each other – you’ve worked so hard to plan it!”

18 months prior to her own wedding, Eve found her gorgeous gown at WED2B while shopping for her friend’s wedding dress.
“Our photos capture every moment and raw emotion of the day. They are going to look incredible on our wall,” praises the couple of Barney Walters Photography.
Groom John’s ensemble was a Pinterest-inspired creation from several different retailers.
The couple’s cake by Tina’s Cakes was passionfruit and raspberry flavoured with macarons. “We wanted something a little different,” says Eve.
