Anita and Pete not only combined their two personalities, but also their two backgrounds in their rustic cultural wedding.
“What was important on the day was that it showed both mine and Peter’s personalities, combined out cultures and shared this with our friends and family,” Anita, who is originally from Hong Kong, says.
Wanting a simple and elegant celebration all at the one venue, the London couple found Brookfield Barn in Lower Beeding, West Sussex.
“It was a beautifully secluded venue, which was able to hold the ceremony outside and we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather on the day,” Pete says.
“We made or designed most things, the seating plan design, the signs, table decorations and invitations. We wanted a fun day and had several garden games and laser pigeon shooting.”
A highlight of the July 22, 2018 celebrations was uniting friends and family from across the globe.
“Anita’s family flew from Hong Kong and countless other friends made the trip from all over the world,” Pete says.
“We wouldn’t change anything, we had the best time!”

Pure Flowers created beautiful bouquets and table decorations for the rustic cultural wedding.
“We were both working in London when we first met at a busy work meeting,” Pete recalls. “Anita was up at the front leading the meeting and definitely did not notice me. The second time we met she came over and said hello, so I played hard to get and eventually worked up the courage to ask her out.”
“I went to several different wedding dress shops to figure out the style I wanted,” Anita says. “Surrey Brides had the perfect dress for me.”
“For our cake we brought a bit of the city with us as we had skyline of London and Hong Kong on show,” Pete says of their three-tiered creation.
Anita and Pete gifted their guests keyrings that could be filled with happy memories from Giggle Booth Photo Booths.
