Lucky Londoners Kavita and Bobby have not one, but two celebrations to look back on.
Following their 2-day Indian-style celebration, the couple held their vintage glamour wedding at the Landmark, London, celebrating with a full house of 380 family and friends.
“With such a large number of guests attending we wanted the wedding to retain a personalised an intimate feel and having friends we knew and trusted create our day(s!) for us certainly achieved this,” Kavita, 32, says of the November, 2016 celebration.
The couple met eight years ago on a sunny bank holiday and “hit it off instantly”.
Six years later Bobby, 35, popped the question in the couple’s new home.
“I was so shocked, I forgot to say yes,” Kavita says.
“We decided to get married relatively quickly. We wanted our wedding to signify the
coming together of two families and two cultures. We called on the help of our friends and
family friends help bring to life the story of us.”

Kavita paired her classic embellished gown with some glamorous Jimmy Choo heeled sandals.
“For us a wedding is the coming together not just of two people, but of family and friends. Our wedding made our relationship not just with each other, but with most loved ones, eternally stronger,” Kavita says.
“Don’t drive yourself mad over small details – they’re not important,” Kavita advises future brides planning their big day.
Laura Ritchie Designs created the couples invitations, “we loved the result”, Kavita says. “The icing on the cake was one of best friends individually writing in calligraphy names, addresses and menu place names for all 380 guests – a wedding gift that I will never forget.”
