Hannah and Amy both popped the question within months of one another.
Amy proposed with a bespoke gold diamond vintage engagement ring, and a couple of months later Hannah proposed back with a vintage-looking sapphire and pear-shaped diamond ring.
12 months of planning later, the Peterborough couple married in the sunshine on July 5, 2017 alongside 100 guests at their rustic country wedding.
For Hannah and Amy, aged 29 and 35 respectively, it was important their venue had an element of exclusivity so they could celebrate in seclusion with their close friends and family.
The converted barn at South Farm in Royston, Hertfordshire, ticked all boxes, and even had resident pigs, goats and ducks to satisfy the couple’s animal-loving side and on-site guest accommodation in vintage caravans.
The day even had a DIY element to it, with the couple hand making the bunting, table and venue decorations themselves.
“We wouldn’t change a thing … Actually, maybe we’d have more photos with the piglets,” laughs Hannah.

The brides purchased their gowns from The Wedding Room in Peterborough.
The Daisy Chain Florist in Peterborough provided the flower arrangements for the rustic wedding.
“It honestly was the best day of our lives, as cheesy as it sounds.”
“Our live band was the most important aspect of our evening. They were incredible,” Hannah says of four-piece band, Hipster.
