As Danielle and Kurt’s fathers were work colleages, the pair had been in one another’s lives for many years before love blossomed. However, when it did, it blossomed in a big way.
The pair wasted no time, moving in together after dating for three months and buying their first home soon after. On the pair’s first Christmas in their new home Kurt, now 26, popped the question.
In planning their classic elegant wedding, the Londonderry pair worked together. “It was ‘our’ wedding – not ‘mine’.” says Danielle, 28.
With a few cost cutting measures and DIY additions, Danielle and Kurt created a wedding that perfectly depicted them as a couple. “We spent many hours in front of the TV cutting and creating the welcome sign, the invitations and the wedding favours.”
On March 10, 2018 the couple wed before 108 guests at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort in Cattai, New South Wales, Australia.
While the special day came and went in a flash, Danielle and Kurt have wedding photos by Chris + Dee to help reminisce.
“The quality of our photos are beyond what I expected,” says Danielle. “The are perfect – they’re all up around our house! It’s a shame Australia lost Chris + Dee to England. I had so many people at the wedding wanting their details.”

The morning of the wedding, Danielle and her bridesmaids enjoyed champagne and a pamper session while Kurt and his groomsmen had a round of golf and relaxed at the venue.
Danielle tried on four gowns before finding her perfect match. “My mum said ‘Don’t bother trying on anymore, you haven’t stopped smiling since you put this one on. Let’s take it.'”
“Kurt and I share a love that is truly special and we have found our soul mate in one another.”
