Corrina and Steven’s blow out destination wedding in Portugal

Corrina and Steven believe you can’t put a price on your dream wedding – and that’s exactly how they ended up with a destination wedding set on the hills of the Santa Barbara de Nexe in Algarve, Portugal.

“I knew straight away our venue, Os Agostos, was the winner. Of course it was over budget, but I was willing to ease up on the online shopping and eat only beans on toast for the next year to book it,” laughs Corrina, 32.

With a Masters Degree in Event Management, bride Corrina involved herself as much as she could in the planning. In the months leading up to the wedding, Corrina and Steven, 33, made a quick trip to Portugal to visit their florist, attend a menu tasting at the venue and ensure everything was on track.

“I wanted every element of our wedding to be personal to us and not just something a hotel has put together for us.”

On August 5, 2017, almost 100 guests joined the Belfast couple in Algarve from Northern Ireland and as far as Australia.

“We had the most amazing day and still cannot believe it was our wedding.

“It was breathtaking – you cannot put a price on that. Plus, beans on toast is tasty anyway.”
