When Cassie and Jonny sat down to plan their wedding, the couple agreed they wanted their wedding to be a fun, relaxed and full of personal touches.
“As we often go walking in The Lake District, and we love the autumn colours of the trees, we chose October 6, 2018 to be our wedding date,” recalls the bride.
The couple, aged 30 and 27, hosted a ceremony for 90 day guests at The Halston Aparthotel, followed by a rustic-themed evening reception at The Tithe Barn in hometown Carlisle for an addition 50 guests.
Personal touches featured throughout the rustic glam wedding. The bridal party got wedding-ready in the comfort of Cassie and Jonny’s newly bought home, a family friend drove the bride and her father to the ceremony, and table numbers at the reception were lovingly made by Cassie’s aunty.
Cassie credits a dynamic team of wedding suppliers for creating such an unforgettable event. “We made a point of meeting up with all of our suppliers and getting to know them and making sure they knew us and understood what we wanted. I honestly believe we had some of the best suppliers. They made our day perfect.”

The couple borrowed their VW Campervan from a family friend.
Cassie complemented her lace gown with pink bridesmaid dresses from WED2B.
“Jonny and I just clicked. We had the same interests and the same morals. We both loved to socialise, loved being outdoors and enjoyed music. From our first date we were pretty much inseparable.”
Jonny’s groomsmen donned navy suits from Slaters.
