We are on a pretty strict budget as we don’t have oodles of cash to spend on our wedding. Plus I may a a slight tendency to get carried away – we won’t talk about how I almost purchased a wooden stamp with our wedding monogram to seal the wedding invites with – it’s very EASY to do when you work at Easy Weddings…Half the time I’m not even looking for this stuff!
But back to the topic at hand. Bomboniere was never high on our list of wedding planning items – we just didn’t want to spend money on a token gift that would be left behind or thrown into a drawer. Now I do understand the significance, and it is so much fun looking at all the little gifts we could potentially buy.
I know a lot of brides use it as a way of adding a personal touch to their weddings, some of the ideas posted on our forumhave been:

So while I was pondering whether I should include this wedding tradition – along came my gorgeous mother and solved that problem for me!
The night that I will be getting my henna design done there will be a party at my parents house – where all the ladies make Indian sweets for the night ahead and normally for the wedding day (but we aren’t having an Indian wedding) so we have decided to put some of them into a little organza bag and pop them onto the tables.
Problem solved! We don’t add any further cost to the wedding, the yummy sweets that my mum and aunties make won’t go to waste and we don’t have to scour the net looking for a trinket that we aren’t keen on anyway!
