In case you hadn’t heard, there’s another royal wedding on tomorrow, but it won’t be watched by two billion people as the last one was.
The Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips, who is thirteenth in line to the throne, will marry England rugby captain Mike Tindall.
It’s the first royal wedding hosted by Edinburgh in 20 years and will take place at Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile.
Among the guests will be the Queen and hubby the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as Zara’s parents, Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips.
Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince Harry, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are also believed to be attending, as are some of England’s best-known rugby players, all friends of the groom.
Compared to April’s wedding of Prince William (Zara’s cousin) and Kate Middleton, tomorrow’s Scottish nuptials will be a low-key affair that won’t even be televised.
The wedding reception will be held immediately after the ceremony at the Queen’s official Scottish home, the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
