Wow! I attended my first wedding expo over the weekend and, let me tell you… Wow!
There is everything and anything you could imagine and, well, I think I may need to increase my budget now because I saw things I wasn’t even considering before going there and now I must have!
The question is, how to tell my fiance, Mehdi? They had cars, invitations, jewellery and even a fashion show. Even having worked in the wedding industry on a daily basis did not prepare me for the wedding overload that I experienced.
Don’t get me wrong though. I loved every minute of it.
I went with a girlfriend who is also getting married, and I think I enjoyed it even more because I shared the experience with her.
I don’t know if it would have been the same if I went with Mehdi. Whilst it’s great that he has input and opinions on the wedding I think that going with a friend was definitely a great idea. Gas bagging, dreaming and nit picking may not have been the same otherwise.
Stay tuned to see what fabulous revelations I had whilst there. I need to discuss them with Mehdi first – I don’t think he should find out about my wonderful new plans and ideas via my blog!
