So after many months of careful budgeting (the Easy Weddings Budget Calculator to the rescue) we worked out that we would definitely be able to afford our wedding in 2012!
Not only was I over the moon but the goofy grin on Craig’s face was priceless. We decided to have our wedding in early 2012.
So now that we had decided on a venue the next two things on my list are a Marriage Celebrant and a Wedding Photographer. Truth be told I had decided on our celebrant when we got engaged!
One of the great things about working at Easy Weddings is that I work with the suppliers so I get a unique insight into what they are like. One of these suppliers was David Schneider from Professional Ceremonies. So I started talking to David about our wedding plans and have had him tentatively booked in since 2009!
So it turns out my strategy for finding the perfect celebrant is to look through the Wedding Directory find a great Marriage Celebrant and then stalk them for 18 months until you pick a date…. or you could do the sensible thing an wait until you have a date and venue locked in…The first way is more fun though.
David was everything we wanted in a Celebrant; professional, easy going, experienced and fun! David has been very supportive and patient and has put us both at ease. He even listened to us describe our perfect ceremony as “short and sweet” without cringing!
