British actress Keira Knightley is engaged to her rocker boyfriend, Klaxons singer James Righton.
Keira, 27, and hubby-to-be James, 28, have released no information about the proposal or any potential wedding date, but Keira’s publicist has confirmed the engagement saying, “I can confirm that Keira is engaged to be married to James Righton,” however she declined divulging any further details.
The pair were introduced by fashion personality Alexa Chung and have been dating since 2010. The marriage will be the first for both parties.
Keira, who was nominated for a 2006 Oscar for her performance in Pride and Prejudice, is best-known for her roles in Pirates of the Carribbean and Atonement and is the current face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle perfume.
Notoriously private, Keira was once quoted by Marie Claire magazine as saying, “It’s hard to have a relationship when I’m working so much,” she said. “But then you have to think, ‘What is actually important in life?’ Is career your only thing?
“That’s sad, because there’s going to come a day when you’re left lonely. It’s a difficult compromise. I think you’ve got to strive for balance. It’s the striving that counts.”
