On-again-off-again celebrity couple Deadmau5 and Kat Von D are, well, definitely on again.
After months of to-ing and fro-ing in their relationship, Deadmau5 popped the big question to his LA Ink’d girlfriend, Kat – and all via Twitter.
“I can’t wait for Christmas so…. Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?” asked the 31-year-old electronic DJ, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman.
“Changing the diamond to a black diamond, FYI. Sorry for the jpg… They’ll finish the actual ring soon I hope,” he wrote on the image that accompanied his Tweet.
The Hollywood tattoo artist responded five minutes later, Tweeting, “Yes!” which was followed by a very long row of exclamation marks.
The proposal, while hardly conventional, is fitting given so much of the couple’s relationship, including break-ups – and make-ups – has been freely shared with their millions of followers.
Just last month, on November 10, the couple made it clear via their respective Twitter accounts that all was not well. A stream of cryptic Tweets indicated the couple were having problems, before Kat too things into her own hands, Tweeting plainly: Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together.
The couple made up quickly, filling their Twitter profiles with friendly messages and images of them together.
And, of course, they are now officially engaged!
