Ah, the perils of publishing in print.
Unaware that his bride-to-be would call off this weekend’s planned nuptials, Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner has had the July edition of his controversial magazine printed with the heading, “Introducing Mrs Crystal Hefner”.
Unfortunately, there is and, likely never will be, a Mrs Crystal Hefner.
The wedding, which was planned for Saturday, would have seen the 25-year-old model becoming 85-year-old Hefner’s third wife.
However, claiming she had become increasingly uncomfortable with Hefner’s lifestyle, which includes having multiple girlfriends, Crystal pulled the plug on the wedding and Hefner relayed the news to the world via Twitter earlier this week.
Crystal told Ryan Seacrest that “It was mutual between Hef and I. There was no fight, we sat down and we talked about it.”
Hef Tweeted back, “Crystal did an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning to explain everything, but I still don’t have a clue.”
So, given recent events, is Hefner planing to pulp the millions of copies of Playboy’s July edition which are about to hit the streets worldwide?
No way, Jose.
A business man to his core, Hef has Tweeted that he’s going to add a sticker over the unfortunate headline.
What will it say?
Well, we don’t know yet, but some commentators have suggested Runaway Bride. Ehem!
