This Californian groom’s romantic seaside proposal went horribly wrong when his big moment was interrupted – by a giant wave.
The unidentified groom led his girlfriend to an idyllic spot atop a large rock on Laguna Beach and got down on one knee, but as he popped the question, he and his bride-to-be were swamped by a huge wave.
“I had the most amazing/crazy proposal on the 21st!,” says the bride-to-be in the video’s description. “I was surprised by a song written by my fiancé. He sang it atop a rock surrounded by the ocean waters at Laguna beach.
“As soon as he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, a HUGE wave completely engulfed us and washed us up to shore. Soaking wet, I quickly jumped up and said YES!”
Thank goodness for that, eh? Oh, and for the record, the ring wasn’t lost!
