So I have a lot of bridesmaids and they are all different shapes and sizes. Not to mention that we are having a wedding in what could quite possibly, and more than likely, be smack bang in the middle of a very hot day, let’s face it it is February and we are in Melbourne so it could even rain. I want my bridesmaids to be wearing something that is going to make them feel great and not look like little bo peep, as much as that would bring me such joy. I also want it to suit the picnic theme. I can’t really have them in an organza floor length gown, can you imagine the chaffing and the heat?

This is the colour scheme I am going for, not the actual dress. I initially wanted aquamarine blue shoes which would have looked great but two of my sisters, who are in my bridal party, have large feet and there is no way known that they would be able to get shoes in that colour in their size. So instead I have opted for a beige, naked tone that will suit the groomsmens suits. They can have what ever style they would like, again to suit them because they are buying it, all I need is for it to be the same colour. So I am totally stealing from a girl at works wedding. I saw the dresses she had her two bridesmaids in and I love it. More so because you can change the dress and wear it however you want to. This way they can wear it to suit their style and they can actually use it after the wedding, because I am asking our bridal party to buy their own outfits. My only rule is that everyone has the same colour dress and shoes.
