American bride Lauren Peterson Mahaffey got more than she bargained for during her beachfront wedding photoshoot after she was thrown from the horse she was riding.
The new Mrs Mahaffey straddled the horse, ready for her photoshoot, but the material of her wedding gown seemed to agitate the horse, who immediately bolted, taking the startled bride with it.
Seconds later, poor Lauren had a face full of sand. Thankfully, barring a few bruises, the bride wasn’t hurt and, she quickly got up – and laughed off the incident.
The photographer, Jarrett Hucks, posted the video to Youtube, where it has been viewed more than 57,000 times.
“This had to be one of the craziest things to ever happen to me on a photo shoot,” he says in the video’s caption.
“Here in Myrtle Beach, my client decided that since you only live once, she wanted to take a photo on top of a horse! I’m not much of a fan of large animals myself because of the unpredictability of them, but I agreed to take the photo if she wanted. What happened next was absolutely crazy!”
“The bride was completely fine and not hurt other than a couple of bruises. Made for a fun story to tell at the wedding.”
