Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice judge Adam Levine has married his model girlfriend Behati Prinsloo in Mexico over the weekend.
The couple swapped vows they wrote themselves in front of more than 270 friends and family, and they walked down the aisle to a tune strummed by one of Adam’s band mates.
Behati, a former Victoria’s Secret model, wore a beautiful floor-length lace Marchesa gown with spaghetti straps and layers of tulle. Her gorgeous gown was accompanied by a lovely, long veil.
The bride, 25, changed into a “long, white sexy number” for the reception which included a duet by the groom, 35, and childhood friend, Fleetwood Mac chanteuse Stevie Nicks.
Behati, too, had her turn behind the microphone. She belted out a beautiful rendition of Art Garfunkkel’s 1979 hit, Bright Eyes.
The nuptials, which were officiated by another of Adam’s old friends, Wolf of Wall Street’s Jonah Hill, were, “hysterical,” According to E!, whose source says Jonah “was telling so many jokes, but then in the middle would be so sweet and sincere.”
Other celebrity guests included Robert Downey Jr, model Coco Rocha and Adam’s guitarist, James Valentine. His Maroon 5 keyboardist, Jesse Carmichael, was his best man and, like the other groomsmen, he donned a Hawaiian shirt with black trousers. The bridesmaids all wore white.
Guests supped on fresh, organic food and mojitos galore and, instead of requesting gifts, the couple asked guests to make donations to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Adam and Behati became engaged in July 2014 and will honeymoon in South Africa, which borders the bride’s country of birth, Namibia.
