Cambridge Cottage is a hidden secret, nestled in the enchanting gardens of Kew. Its a charming period building in a tranquil corner away from any noise or distraction. What’s more, when you hire this undiscovered event space, you also unlock access to the entire estate for you and your guests to explore. Your guests will have an experience like no other, and the setting becomes a photographer’s paradise.

Unlike most wedding venues, your fees will be funnelled directly into the vital scientific research carried out across the gardens, to protect and develop a better understanding of the world’s vital plant life. You can also combine Cambridge Cottage with other function spaces across the estate, such as the iconic Temperate House, the stunning Nash Conservatory or the airy open plan Orangery.

Inside Cambridge Cottage, there is a variety of spacious light-filled spaces that retain their homely heritage features. Just like the gardens, the building has been conserved in immaculate condition. The Drawing Room and Gallery are decorated with beautiful botanical artwork and classical wooden floors. There is even the option to say your vows beneath the quaint French doors, with your guests seated comfortably outside in the secluded Duke’s garden.

Stunning gardens and a beautiful wedding venue.

Stunning experience, the garden sports an extensive greenhouse divided by climate zones, with a pond and plenty exotic fishes in addition to several plant species. We visited during a wedding and it was quite the experience, they organized drinks and tours in the greenhouses and showed us around.

I had the good fortune to attend a wedding in Kew gardens and got to experience it across a number of levels. Both the gardens and houses are spectacular and one could easily spend a number of days exploring and enjoying each area. When I visited, the weather was sunny which added more to the beauty. I took a tram tour and the guide was both humorous and quirky. Thoroughly worth a visit.

Very nice and pleasant set of gardens. Great for a day out. And a nice wedding reception venue too.
