When Thomas Corless of Cockerham in 1714, took for his bride Sarah Bell of the 'Ridge Farm', he was to establish a dynasty in Pilling which would endure until 1960. His grandson Thomas in 1770 married Ann Miller. They farmed 'Maudlands Farm', together with a family of four children. William Bell, Jennet, Elizabeth and Maudland, Thomas himself dying in 1860.

Whether you choose to hold the whole ceremony with us making use of our licence for Civil/Partnership Ceremonies or opt for a traditional service followed by a reception at Springfield you can be sure of a memorable wedding day planned with precision to your exact requirements.
We can host Ceremonies for up to 80 guests in the Corless Room whilst smaller weddings of up to 36 guests can take place inside the Orangery overlooking the Walled Gardens.
The Corless Room can seat up to 100 for a wedding breakfast and up to 175 for your evening party. Smaller parties of up to 30 can opt for a more intimate setting and be either seated in our Georgian room or our Orangery.
