With our historic clubhouse dating back to 1837 and our parkland golf course designed in 1923, Beeston Fields Golf Club is one of the oldest in Nottinghamshire.
Secluded amidst 135 acres on the outskirts of Nottingham,Beeston Fields is a part of the county’s heritage. Originally named the Belle Vue Estate, Alfred Thomas built the main house in 1837. The Fellows family then lived at Beeston Fields for many years and Elizabeth Fellows’ was the first recorded wedding at the house in 1865.
Sir Harold Bowden, founder of the Raleigh Cycle Company, acquired the house as a country escape around 1912 and later sold it to former Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Fredrick Mitchell. In December 1923 Fred Mitchell opened a prestigious members’ golf club at Beeston Fields and the estate has remained in the family ever since.
Hidden behind the house is the original Victorian Walled Garden. Built shortly after the house it was a feature of its time. In 2011 the garden was restored to its former beauty and now showcases a stunning events marquee surrounded with original features in a charming victorian garden. Hosting events catering for upto 220 guests from unique weddings to tailored conferences we pride ourselves on exceptional service.
Over three generations we have provided hospitality, locally farmed fresh food, hand picked wines and a warm welcome. Offering a wealth of facilities delivered by an award winning events team, Beeston Fields is a wonderful venue for any occasion.
