I’m a documentary & fine art wedding photographer, based in rural Somerset where I live with my husband & son in a small village called Martock. There’s something lovely about the sense of community here, as well as the beautiful walks and stunning architecture. I’m pretty lucky.
I like dogs, misty sunrises, pillows, wine, books, old cameras, mysterious moments and cheese (not necessarily in that order). I also like photographing weddings. Meet me and listen to me enthuse about what I do, and you’ll come back to this page, cross out ‘like’ and put ‘LOVE’. And that’s what it’s all about. Love what you do and you’ll be the best you can be.
That’s me in the middle, wearing my best frock for a party. Admittedly, I’m a little older than that now, but as tattered and aged as this photograph is (well, aren’t we all), I like the moment it captures. Children have a way of looking directly through a camera lens into your very heart.
Perhaps it’s something we lose as we get older, like being able to see fairies and do backbends. I don’t believe we have to lose that ability to show our inner souls to the camera, though, and that’s why I do what I do. If you’re wondering about the fairies, though, I can’t help you with that one.
