Stuart began taking photographs in 1992, and spent several years building a commercial landscape portfolio. On route, he was lucky enough to have work published by the Scottish Tourist Board, Royal Bank of Scotland, Hello! Magazine, Amateur Photographer and Photo Technique magazines. His first wedding commission produced a wonderful, natural style of photography which quickly became his trademark. Today, Stuart is one of the leading wedding photographers in Scotland and he covers weddings and civil partnerships throughout the country.
Sometimes I just laugh out loud at life. I don't know what else to do. I'm highly visual and creative. I appreciate beautiful things and I enjoy making something look good. I'm also committed and proud. When I put my name to something I want it to be as good as it can be. That's why I think about every shoot. I have to produce something special every single time and that is a simple pressure I put upon myself. I believe your only good as your last picture. I freely admit I'm so distracted by making things look good that I often battle with the technicalities of using a modern SLR camera. Too many buttons and too many options for me. I shoot in my head and welcome the day when digital cameras are small enough to be implanted into your eye. Until that day, I will struggle on being human and create beautiful images with my imagination. A camera will never be able to do that.
