John Wellings

Hi! My name is John and I am a professional wedding photographer in Swansea, South Wales, between the mountains and the sea.

A passion for photography and stories led me to study Documentary Photography at the University of Wales in Newport. This was followed by working as a picture editor at the Financial Times in London alongside working as a photographer for national newspapers and magazines. This love for photography and its ability to tell stories is one of the reasons I was drawn to photographing weddings.

To be a part of one of the most important days in a couples life is incredibly special to me and to help in creating lasting memories that you will look back on in years to come, nothing beats it.

What makes me different?

There are wedding photographers out there that don’t pick up a camera for fun, or don’t photograph anything other than weddings. I’m not one of those. When you book me you are not only getting my experience and craft as a wedding photographer, but also all the skills and techniques I have gained in the wider world of photography.
