My name is David and I am a London based documentary wedding photographer.
I shoot in a documentary style, but what exactly does that mean? For me it is a way of telling the story of your special day through my pictures without orchestration, prompting or manipulation. I feel this is the best way to the natural, authentic storytelling photographs I capture. My aim for your wedding day is to blend in and provide you with beautiful photographs of yourself, your friends and family all enjoying the day without direction.
I started my career as a sports photographer which is where I honed my skills in anticipating and capturing the crucial moments during events. I believe this experience enables me to capture the emotions and excitement throughout your special day that you may not have even noticed.
As a documentary photographer you are asked to tell a story through compelling photographs anywhere, anytime and under any circumstances. That's the challenge I have always loved about being a photojournalist and that experience along with a love of storytelling is what I try to bring to my commercial, portrait and wedding work.
