I didn't really 'discover' photography until I went University to study a Foundation diploma in Art & Design, where I really came to appreciate just how creative and versatile it can be; it truly changes the way you look at the world, and I soon found myself obessed with colour and light. What really inspires me about photography is how, with the right lighting and composition (and few other tricks), you can turn something mundane or boring into something beautiful and artistic. It's safe to say I was hooked!
Over time I realised that what I really loved to photograph was the natural reactions and expressions of the people around me- so much more interesting than posed photographs- and so wedding photography seemed a natural move. I just love getting involved on the day to ensure I capture all of the emotion and the details that make weddings so memorable, so that my clients have wedding photographs that don't just document the wedding day itself, but capture the memories and the essence of the day too.
When I'm not busy shooting clients with my camera, I'm normally chasing after a long suffering relative, friend, or pet to act as my model! I love to experiment with new photography & lighting techniques that I could potentially incorporate into a photo shoot. When I'm not at work I'm always looking to keep busy with other projects so you'll often find me designing, sewing,
