Kirsty Whatley (BMus Hons, MMus) is a professional harpist based in the south of England. Personable, versatile and highly-qualified, she has extensive experience as both a concert and event musician. She trained in Manchester and Switzerland, has a Master's degree in music, and now regularly plays internationally with top professional ensembles in concert, on CD and on the radio. Kirsty is also one of only a handful of harpists to have specialised in historical harps and to work professionally as a continuo and early harp player. In addition, she has a lively teaching life, and continues to enjoy event work, bringing her beautiful instrument and live music to add atmosphere to special occasions.
Having returned from Switzerland in early 2009, Kirsty now lives in a beautiful old English town, with a small family of people and harps, and a ruined castle rambling distance from her front door.
