We use free range eggs from our local farm shop, organic sugars, Madagascan vanilla bean pods and the finest single estate couverture chocolate ensuring all our cakes not only look amazing but taste fabulous too!
Dawn always loved the art of food and spent her school days tinkering about in the kitchen baking Sunday teas for family and friends. Having made her first wedding cake by the time she was 15 it was a natural progression that she then went on to study Hospitality and Catering. Dawn trained as a chef and then as a pastry chef in the Lake District before joining the Royal Air Force in 1990. She spent 22 years in the Royal Air Force working from the muddy fields of combat catering to cooking for many British and International dignitaries including Her Majesty The Queen.
On leaving the Royal Air Force as a Senior Catering Manager, Dawn decided to follow her passion for cake decorating and after completing further training with some of the UK’s most renowned cake makers she set up her company The Master Cakesmith.
