Kellycakes

It all began for me as a small child. My Dad was a chef and I loved to be in the kitchen with him when he was making pies. He would give me pastry to play with. I also used to help bake cakes with my mum or my nan.

If I wasn't “playing” with food I would be playing with plastacine or playdoh.

I never lost my passion for food and after leaving school I attended Courtfield College and trained as a chef and acquired my 706/1 & 706/2 City and Guilds then I was unleashed on the industry.

I enjoyed cooking, but my passion was always cake decorating, so I went back to college where I did my NCFE grades in Cake Decorating.

I started by making cakes for friends and family and since then my reputation has spread by word of mouth.

So in Dec 06 I gave up my full time job as a chef and decided to launch “KELLYCAKES” as a business. I then opened my shop in April 07.
