One of my earliest memories was watching my mother make wedding cakes and this started my passion for baking and wedding cake design.
Whilst working as a nurse I continued to make wedding and celebration cakes for my friends and colleagues. After the birth of my daughter I decided to turn my hobby into a business.
After gaining a City and Guilds qualification in Sugarcraft, I founded Sharon Lord Cakes in 2005 from my home in Westerham, Kent. I have been awarded a 5* Food Hygiene Rating
By Sevenoaks District Council. I am a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild and my work features regularly in national wedding publications.
The best part of my business is working with couples to develop their ideas and dreams into a truly individual and memorable cake for their special day.
