Wedding cake designer May Clee-Cadman established Maisie Fantaisie in 2003. May's background in art and design together with a love for baking and sugar-craft has ensured her a place as one of London's leading cake makers.
Growing up in the Cotswolds, as like as not, on a summer's day May was to be found in the garden making mud pies, prettily decorating them with primroses and daisies, and trying to find her own formula for crystallizing rose petals. It wasn't too long, however, before she moved from the garden to the kitchen and became official cake baker for all family events.
May has come a long way since those childhood days in the garden and almost like a fairy tale, she now creates the beautiful wedding cakes for which Maisie Fantaisie is renowned. From light sponge to rich chocolate fudge, each recipe is discovered and perfected with a singular care and attention and she is dedicated to finding and using only the purest and highest quality ingredients.
Our wedding cakes have been featured in ‘You and Your Wedding‘, ‘Brides‘, ‘Cosmo Bride‘, ‘Wedding‘, ‘Hello‘ and the Sunday Times ‘Style‘ magazine and our UK television credits include ITV, BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5. May has two books published and counts amongst her clients some of the most prestigious venues in London and the UK.

It was even more beautiful than I could have hoped – the one on the website was gorgeous, but I have to say with my flowers on it, I was completely floored by its beauty. The 22nd April was a wonderful day – the wedding went off without a hitch and we had the added bonus of a beautiful day. Tim and Shelly were absolutely thrilled with the and the chef and wedding organiser at the Vineyard both said it was the most beautiful cake they had ever seen!! It really did look stunning. The whole day was a complete success and I cannot thank you enough for such beautifully decorated cakes. The compliments flowed throughout the evening on both the decoration and content of the cakes.
