Anne Delaney

Hello, I am Anne Delaney and I am a trained and accredited British Humanist Celebrant. I live in Wimbledon, South West London with my husband. I have one grown up son who lives near by. I conduct end of life ceremonies (which include cremations, burials, internment of ashes and memorials), weddings, civil partnerships and baby naming ceremonies for people who wish to mark and celebrate significant events in their lives with a non-religious ceremony.

I trained to be a humanist celebrant in 2007 after a career in education, firstly as specialist teacher of children with specific learning difficulties and eventually a head teacher of a large infant school. For many years I was actively involved in voluntary work for the British Dyslexia Association. I also worked with the Metropolitan Police Youth Offenders team teaching young people literary skills. One of my interests outside my professional life is the theatre. I have studied acting, which includes voice production and speech articulation, to an advanced level.

I find my celebrant work most rewarding. I feel privileged that I am able to work with individuals and families to create a ceremony that is unique and special and which reflects who they are and what is important to them.
