Rochanne Webster had always dreamed of a fairytale wedding and thanks to a stunning venue and her Prince Charming Jamie Spalding, she got it.
The Rayleigh pair, who first met online four years ago, chose Essex’s Leez Priory for their fairytale-inspired celebrations.
Rochanne, 28, says the stunning Tudor mansion was just the kind of castle venue that they were looking for. “It was everything I had dreamed of as a girl growing up,” she says.
“As a little girl all I ever wanted was to have a horse drawn carriage for my wedding day and I could certainly picture that at Leez Priory.”
Luckily Jamie, also 28, wanted to make sure his bride-to-be got her horse-drawn wish, taking Rochanne to pick her two horses and carriage for the big day. “I was so touched that he had made my childhood dreams come true,” she says.
The couple hosted their picture-perfect summer wedding on July 17, 2015. Following the ceremony, witnessed by 80 guests, 60 family and friends stayed on for the evening celebrations, which included a cake with a difference. The couple’s beloved dog Lola was the star of the cake, with a family friend creating the canine-themed cake topper as a surprise addition.
There were more surprises later in the night for the bride and groom with a specially-planned fireworks display. “It was so magical and lit up the venue beautifully,” Rochanne says.
The couple had wanted fireworks, but were reined in by budget constraints. “My mum and dad knew I wanted them so arranged the display for us. This truly was a perfect way to finish off the best day of our lives.”
